Step 2 – Select “Registered Agent” and enter the agent’s name. Click “Search.”
Step 3 – A list of agents appears. Click “Details” beside the appropriate agent.
Step 4 – Review the information that appears, including the corporation’s name and registered agent’s name and address.
Who can be a Registered Agent?
A registered agent can be a resident of Mississippi or a corporation authorized to transact business in Mississippi. A corporation’s agent’s address must also be the corporation’s registered office address. The agent must consent to the appointment.[3]

Resigning as a Registered Agent
A registered agent may resign by filing a signed Statement of Resignation with the Secretary of State. The statement must include the name of the entity and the name of the agent. It must also state that the agent resigns.[6]
Written notice of the resignation should be furnished to the corporation at least 30 days before the statement is filed, and evidence of this should be attached to the filing. A Statement of Resignation can be tendered online. There is no filing fee.
A resignation statement takes effect 31 days after filing or when a new agent is appointed, whichever comes first.
