A New Mexico registered agent is an individual or corporation responsible for receiving official documents on behalf of a corporation. Official documents include service of process, notices, and demands. Every corporation registered in New Mexico is required to have a registered agent.[1][2]

Step 1 – Visit the Officer(s)/Director(s)/Registered Agent Search page of the Corporations and Business Services website.
Step 2 – Select “Registered Agent,” then enter the agent’s name. Make sure to check the box beside “I’m not a robot” before clicking “Search.”
Step 3 – Entities associated with the named registered agent will appear in the left-hand column. Click on the appropriate entity.
Step 4 – Review more information about the entity and its registered agent, including the agent’s address and date of appointment.

Designating a Registered Agent
The most common way for a corporation to designate a registered agent is to include the agent’s name and address in its formation document.
In New Mexico, a limited liability company can be formed online, but forms for corporations and partnerships must be completed and submitted by mail or in person. Select the appropriate form from the list below. Complete it and send it, along with the filing fee, to New Mexico Secretary of State Business Services Division 325 Don Gaspar, Suite 300 Santa Fe, NM 87501.
Checks should be made payable to New Mexico Secretary of State.
